VACANCIES ANNOUNCEMENT
Applications are invited from suitable qualified and experienced Tanzanians to fill the following vacant positions, at the College of Business Education (CBE).
College of Business Education was established by Act of Parliament, Act No. 31 of 1965. College of Business Education is a training Government Institution which provide, Training, Research and Consultancy in the fields of Accountancy fields of, Procurement & Supplies Management and other business related disciplines.
1.    ASSISTANT LECTURER - 22 Posts
Duties and Responsibility
•    Teaches up to NTA level 8 (Bachelor’s Degree).
•    Prepares learning resources for tutorial exercises.
•    Conducts research, seminars and case studies.
•    Carries out consultancy and community services under supervision.
•    Prepares teaching manual.
•    Performs any other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience
Applicant must be holders of a good Master’s Degree with a GPA of 3.5 and above at undergraduate level specializing in the following fields:
i.    Accountancy – 4 Posts
ii.    Business Administration – 3 Posts
iii.    Law - 1 Posts
iv.    Economics - 3 Posts
v.    Mathematics - 2 Posts
vi.    Procurement and Supplies Management – 4 Posts

2.    TUTORIAL ASSISTANT - 10 Posts
Duties
•    Teaching up to NTA level 6 (Ordinary Diploma)
•    Assists in conducting tutorial and practical exercises for students under close supervision
•    Prepares learning resources for tutorial exercises.
•    Assists in conducting research under close supervision.
•    Carries out consultancy and community services under close supervision.
•    Performs any other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualification and Experience
Holder of a first Degree or equivalent qualifications in the relevant field of study with First or Upper Second Class Division of at least 3.5 GPA from a recognized and accredited Higher Learning Institution.
i.    Law - 2 Post

iii.    Procurement Management – 4 Posts
iv.    Information and Communication Technology – 1 Posts

3.    POSITION: PLANNING OFFICER II - (1 POST)
QUALIFICATION
Holder of a Bachelor Degree/Advanced Diploma in any of the following fields: - Economics, Economic Planning or Regional Planning.
DUTIES
•    Collects and systematically compiles data on College activities, e.g: Information on students and staff.
•     Physical facilities; (plant and equipment; by categories and functions, educational programmes, goals and achievements).
•    Sources and application of financial resources and costs of relevant cost centres.
•    Prepares profiles to bring together available statistics on the activities and resources of each Department.
•     Combines and analyses categories of data as basis of plan formulation.
•     Performs any other relevant duties assigned by Supervisor.

4.    POSITION: PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLIES OFFICER II - (1 POST)
QUALIFICATION
Holder of Bachelor Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management or Advanced Diploma.
DUTIES:
•    Manages warehousing functions including receipts, issues, storage, safety and delivery.
•    Deals with clearing and forwarding formalities.
•    Performs any other relevant duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.

5.    POSITION: HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER II - (1 POST)
QUALIFICATION
Holder of a Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Public Administration, Human Resources Management.
DUTIES:
•    Administration of recruitment processes.
•    Deals with office management, personnel and staff welfare.
•    Orientation of new staff
•    Performs any other relevant duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.

6.    POSITION: LEGAL OFFICER GRADE II - (1 POST)
QUALIFICATION
Holder of Bachelor Degree in Law plus one year Intern-ship.
DUTIES:
•    Indexes, files, register Government/College notices and all other legal documents and ensure their safe custody.
•    Compiles evidence relevant for court cases involving the College.
•    Attends to registration of all legal documents and probate matters.
•    Performs any other relevant duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.

7.    POSITION: COMPUTER SYSTEMS ANALYST GRADE II - (3 POSTS)
QUALIFICATION
Holder of BSc. Degree/Advanced Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology
DUTIES:
•    Prepares systems designs
•    Assists users in designing and developing their systems and programmes.
•    Carries out data modering
•    Design and document data base architecture.
•    Build database scheme, tables, procedures and permissions.
•    Performs any other relevant duties assigned by supervisor.

8.    POSITION: ACCOUNTANT GRADE II - (2 POSTS)
QUALIFICATION
Holder of Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accountancy.
DUTIES:
•    Controls and prepares accounts up to Final Balance.
•    Files all accounting documents properly.
•    Ensures that all Invoices are properly recorded and filed after payments.
•    Follows-up outstanding payments.
•    Maintains employees’ ledger for staff advances, loans or imprests.
•    Maintains accurate registers for debtors.
•    Performs any other relevant duties as may be assigned by his Supervisor.

9.    POSITION: COMPUTER LAB/TECHNICIAN GRADE II - (5 POSTS)
QUALIFICATION
Holder of a Diploma in Computer Studies with proven thorough knowledge of Windows/Linux servers and should have knowledge of MS Office.
DUTIES:
•    Installing, configuring, testing, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting end user networked peripheral devices, workstation hardware, and networking hardware products.
•    Liaising with, and providing support and training to staff and end users on computer operation issues.
•    Developing and maintaining an inventory of keyboards, hard drives, printers, modems, scanners, monitors, and other peripheral devices.
•    Receiving and responding to incoming calls, e-mails, or pages regarding hardware and PC problems.
•    Conducting research on various products of computer in support of its development and procurement efforts.
•    Preparing documents on instances of hardware repair, installation, failure, and removal.
•    Evaluating and recommending hardware products of PC for purchase.
•    Performs any other relevant duties assigned by Supervisor.

10.    POSITION: RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT GRADE II - (7 POSTS)
QUALIFICATION
Holder of a Secondary School Certificate plus a Certificate in Records Management.
DUTIES:
•    Opens new files and indexes cards.
•    Maintains an up-to-date register of Office files.
•    Files correspondences into the appropriate files and cross references.
•    Maintains up-to-date file index books.
•    Performs any other relevant duties which may be assigned by Supervisor.

11.    POSITION: TELEPHONE OPERATOR GRADE II - (3 POSTS)
QUALIFICATION
Holder of Secondary School Education Certificate and who has attended Telephone Operation Course.
DUTIES:
•    Answers calling signals.
•    Connects calls within the exchange area.
•    Makes Booking calls and searches them as appropriate.
•    Performs any other relevant duties as may be assigned by Supervisor

12.    POSITION: PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLIERS ASSISTANT GRADE II - 1 Post

QUALIFICATION
Holder of a Diploma in Procurement and Supplies Management.
Duties and Responsibility
•    Checks transactions in stores accounting documents and registers.
•    Receives and issues vouchers, delivery notes and invoices.
•    Prepares purchase requisitions/orders upon approval by his/her supervisor.
•    Performs any other relevant duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.

13.    POSITION: PERSONAL SECRETARY II - (5 POSTS)
QUALIFICATION:-
Holder of Secondary School Certificate with a Secretarial Certificate from a recognized Secretarial College plus 100/120 w.p.m. Shorthand in
English or Kiswahili and 50 w.p.m. typing, tabulation and Manuscript Stage III, Secretarial duties and Office Procedure Stage II.
DUTIES:
•    Receives and attends visitors.
•     Types both open and confidential documents and takes minutes.
•    Takes shorthand.
•    Attends telephone calls and takes messages.
•    Ensures availability of all necessary working facilities for proper job performance.
•    Takes proper care of all machines under his/her charge and ensures that they are used for official work.
•    Types Circulars, Certificates, Transcripts and Statements of Results.
•    Prints reports, letters etc.
•    Performs any other relevant duties assigned by supervisor.

14.    POSITION: ARTISAN II (MASONRY & PLUMBER) - (2 POSTS)
QUALIFICATION:-
Holder of Secondary School Certificate with a Trade Test Grade I Certificate with a relevant working experience of at least four years.
DUTIES:
•    Performs more challenging craft jobs under close supervision.
•    Performs routine technical jobs.
•    Collects and takes care of tools and equipment.
•    Carries-out minor repairs and maintenance and reports all other problems to superiors
•    Performs any other relevant duties as assigned by Supervisor.
